SUNDA ISLAND CRUISE

FLORES - LOMBOK

7 days / 6 nights

Day 1:

Fly from Bali to Labuan Bajo on Flores. Distance from the airport to the harbor only 2 km. When all our guests are on board, we leave the harbor and cruise to our first destination in Komodo National Park, the island Sebayor. We spend the first night in the bay of Sebayor Island. (1 dive possible)

Day 2:

Early morning we ‘set sail’ to Rinca. During a two hour walk in the national park you will see the famous komodo dragons, and if you’re lucky you may see deer’s, wild buffalo’s and monkeys. We’ll be back for lunch on the boat and afterwards do some excellent diving or snorkeling at some of the beautiful islands on the way to the north of the park. We might try to spot some manta rays; these gracious animals come to certain areas with rising tide for eating and cleaning. We find a quiet bay to spend the night. (2 dives possible)

Day 3:

One of the most splendid sites in the park is Gili Lawa Laut: a beautiful bay with crystal clear water and white sandy beach. Some of the best dive sites are located around this island. Here we will spend the day. For sunset you can walk up the hill of Gili Lawa Laut, it has stunning views over the park.  (3 dives possible)

Day 4:

At dawn we depart to Banta Island, an island in the middle of the ocean between Komdo and Sumbawa. You can go diving and snorkeling in crystal clear water. Then we cruise to Sangeang, an island with an active volcano (Gunung Api or ’fire mountain’) and a very special spot for snorkeling or diving. If we have enough time we could visit Wera, a traditional shipbuilding village. We leave same afternoon to West Sumbawa, cruising all night. (2 dives possible)

Day 5:

Satonda is an extinct volcano with a sunken crater lake surrounded by jungle. Local people believe Satonda has magical influences and they come to the island and hang offerings on the trees around the Crater Lake in the belief that their dreams will come true. There is very nice swimming and snorkeling and the opportunity for one dive at Satonda. The island is also the home of thousands of fruit bats hanging in the trees. It is impressive to see when they fly out at dusk to search for food. We stay there for the night. (1 dive possible)

Day 6:

We leave at night or very early morning to Moyo. We moor at Labuan Haji, an unspoiled traditional village. The local people will guide us to a beautiful pool and small waterfall where we can swim in the clean, clear water and even play tarzan! At least one, maybe two dives on the reefs off-shore from Labuan Haji are possible. Afternoon we leave and cruise all night to Lombok.

Day 7:

Arrival on the Gili s in the morning, you can check out on one of the islands or in Mentigi bay harbor in north Lombok.

ADVANCE BOOKING ARE STRONGLY SUGGESTED !
